FIB Udayana held a Field Accreditation Assessment for the Indonesian Literature Study Program

Denpasar, December 2, 2025 – The Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, conducted a Field Accreditation Assessment for the Indonesian Literature Study Program, held at the Ir. Soekarno Meeting Room, Poerbatjaraka Building, 4th Floor, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University. This activity constituted part of the external quality assurance process organized by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) to evaluate the feasibility and quality of the academic implementation of the Indonesian Literature Study Program.

The field accreditation assessment was attended by the BAN-PT assessors, the Rector of Udayana University represented by the Head of LPPPM, the Faculty leadership, the Head of UP3M, the Coordinator of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, lecturers and students of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, as well as other invited guests. The assessment aimed to verify, clarify, and validate various aspects of program implementation, including governance, human resources, curriculum, learning processes, research, community service, and the outcomes of the tri dharma of higher education, in accordance with BAN-PT accreditation standards.

The event commenced with a welcoming address by the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, Prof. I Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation to the BAN-PT assessment team and all parties involved in the preparation and implementation of the accreditation process. He also outlined the historical development of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, explaining that the establishment of the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature, which served as the embryo of the Faculty of Arts of Udayana, originated from an agreement of the Foundation of Nusa Tenggara Faculties. Over time, the department evolved and became an integral part of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, as it stands today.

The subsequent address was delivered by the Head of LPPPM of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Made Alit Karyawan Salain, DEA. He presented an overview of Udayana University as an institution developing within a dynamic academic environment, oriented toward continuous quality improvement, and currently undertaking various strategic preparations in its pursuit of Public University with Legal Entity (PTN-BH) status.

Furthermore, Dr. Kastam Syamsi, M.Ed., a BAN-PT assessor from Yogyakarta State University, and Dr. Heny Subandiyah, M.Hum., a BAN-PT assessor from Surabaya State University, explained the objectives and scope of the field accreditation assessment. They emphasized that the activity was conducted to evaluate and ensure that the Indonesian Literature Study Program consistently meets the accreditation standards established by BAN-PT. The assessors also expressed their expectation of full support, transparency, and cooperation from all members of the academic community of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, to ensure the smooth and objective implementation of the assessment process.
