Technical Guidance on Textbook Development at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University

The Faculty of Cultural Sciences of Udayana University organized a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) event for Textbook Development for the Indonesian Literature Study Program on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Held in the Soekarna Room, the event featured Prof. Dr. I Gusti Agung Sri Rwa Jayantini, S.S., M.Hum., a professor from Mahasaraswati University Denpasar, as the main speaker. She shared her experiences and strategies for creating high-quality textbooks. Serving as the moderator was Jalu Norva Illa Putra, a lecturer in the Indonesian Literature Study Program of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, who enthusiastically guided the discussion.

The event was attended by young lecturers within the Faculty of Cultural Sciences of Udayana University. In the opening remarks, the organizers emphasized the importance of textbook development to enhance the quality of higher education, particularly in the Indonesian Literature Study Program. Prof. Jayantini delivered an in-depth presentation covering material selection, pragmatic approaches, and alignment with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum.

Participants of the Bimtek welcomed the event with great enthusiasm. They actively engaged in discussions and raised questions about the challenges of developing textbooks that cater to students' needs. This activity is expected to provide valuable insights for young lecturers to produce textbooks that are not only high in quality but also capable of representing local values and Balinese cultural wisdom as distinctive features of Udayana University.
