Socialization and promotion of Indonesian Literature Study Program at SMAN 1 Komodo, SMAN 2 Nggorang, and High School Lentera Harapan Province NTT

Background

One of the missions owned by the Indonesian Literature Bachelor Study Program, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University is "Organizing Quality Higher Education Tridarma, which can support the process of change and progress of the Indonesian nation, especially in the field of linguistic and literacy of Indonesia". In line with this mission, on Monday, January 30, 2023, the Indonesian Literature Study Program carried out socialization activities in three high schools in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The choice of West Manggarai Regency as the location of this activity was based on the existence of several Indonesian Literature Study Program students who studied at Udayana University. That is, this region is appropriate as a research object.


Goals and objectives

This socialization activity aims to introduce the Indonesian Literature Bachelor Study Program, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University to students at SMAN 1 Komodo, SMAN 2 Nggorang, and Lentera Harapan High School in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. It is hoped that later they will be interested in studying in the Indonesian Literature Study Program.


Implementation of activities

Indonesian Literature Bachelor Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University (on this occasion was represented by the Coordinator of the Study Program Dr. I Gusti Ayu Agung Mas Triadnyani, S.S., M.Hum, Prof. Dr. Ni Made Dhawaty, M.Sc, and Jalu Norva Illa Putra, S.S., M.Hum.). The three of them represent study programs to visit SMAN 1 Komodo, SMAN 2 Nggorang, and Lentera Harapan High School in West Manggarai Regency. The event took place on Monday, January 30, 2023. The event opened with a speech from the Coordinator of the Indonesian Literature Bachelor Study Program Dr. I Gusti Ayu Agung Mas Triadnyani, S.S., M.Hum. This socialization aims to introduce the Indonesian Literature Bachelor Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University to the school students.

This activity was followed by Prof.'s presentation Dr. Ni Made Dhanawaty about "Indonesian Literature Bachelor Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, Bali". He said that the Indonesian Literature Study Program was supported by twenty -three lecturers seven of them were professors (professors), ten doctors, seven S2 education, and 99% had qualifications as lecturers (serdos) issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Most lecturers have experience as practitioners such as poets, novelists, journalists, and expert witnesses in the field of forensic linguistics (in investigations, investigations, and trials in court).

This activity was a closed discussion and question and answer between students and speakers that took place lively. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of students who ask questions.
