International Collaboration: FIB UNUD and Tianjin Foreign Studies University, China, Exploring the Potential of Cooperation
On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University (FIB Unud) and the Faculty of Asian and African Tianjin Foreign Studies University (FBA TFSU), China, held an online meeting aimed at exploring the potential of cooperation in the fields of education and research.
In the event, the Dean of FIB Unud, I Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., together with representatives from Unud, including the Coordinator of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Dr. I Gusti Ayu Agung Mas Triadnyani, S.S., M.Hum., And Coordinator of FIB UPIK, Novita Mulyana, S.S., M.Hum., And PIC Cooperation of the Indonesian Literature Study Program FIB Unud, Jalu Norva Illa Putra, S.S., M.A., discussed Various opportunities for cooperation with teams from FBAA TFSU led by Prof. Duo Chenjie.
Prof. Duo Chenjie, Dean of FBAA TFSU revealed that TFSU has set Indonesia as one of the focus of its international cooperation, given the strong bilateral relations between the two countries. He highlighted the cooperation that had been established with several universities in Indonesia and hoped that similar cooperation could occur with FIB Unud in terms of student exchange, lecturers, and research collaboration. The relationship between the Republic of Indonesia and the People's Republic of China is very close. He also explained that currently, the faculty has cooperated with several universities in Indonesia such as Unesa, and actively sending students to the university to exchange and study for one year at the university.
In his response, the Dean of FIB Unud, Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., welcomed the proposed cooperation from TFSU. In addition to education and research, he stressed the importance of collaboration in community service activities, which can involve students and lecturers from both parties to make a significant contribution.
Both parties agreed to continue the conversation regarding the technical details of the cooperation that will be discussed at the next meeting, as well as preparing the cooperation documents needed to support this initiative. This cooperation is expected to open up new opportunities for both institutions to improve the quality of their education and research and have a positive impact on people in both countries.
