IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF DISTANCE LEARNING (PJJ): INDONESIAN LITERATURE PRODUCT LECTURERS ATTEND TRAINING ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE OBE CURRICULUM IN ONLINE LEARNING USING OASE LMS

`

Ahead of FIBAA accreditation, Indonesian Literature Study Program Lecturers took part in Distance Education Training (PJJ) organized by LP3M, on Friday, September 8 2023 at the Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. This activity aims to improve the quality of distance education (PJJ) within Udayana University. This activity was attended by three representatives of study program lecturers who will take part in FIBAA accreditation. The three lecturers representing the Indonesian Literature study program are Mr. I Gusti Ngurah Mayun Susandhika, S.S., M.Hum., Mr. Ida Bagus Gede Dharma Putra, S.S., M.A., and Mrs. Eirenne Pridari Sinsya Dewi, S.S., M.Ed.

The training was opened by the Head of LP3M Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, M. Agr. Sc., Ph.D., representing the Chancellor of Udayana University. In his speech, the Chairman of LP3M said that Udayana University, through LP3M, had designed and implemented distance learning (PJJ), due to adapting to technological disruption and industrial revolution 4.0. Education is created in the form of hybrid or blended learning through the Learning Management System-Online Academic Service for E-learning (LMS-OASE) via the Cisco Webex facility.

In this training, several materials were presented by the resource persons, including 1) Application of the OBE Curriculum to OASE by Dr. Gede Sukadarmika, S.T., MSc., 2) Online Course Structure, Content, and Gradebook by Desak Putu Eka Nilakusmawati, S.Si., M.Sc., and 3) Assessment Management (Assignments, Quizzes, Forums, and Grade Recaps ) by Silvia Damayanti, S.S., M. Hum.

LMS-OASE learning media is intended for virtual asynchronous learning within the Udayana University environment. Through LMS-OASE, lecturers can place lecture materials, carry out formative assessments through quizzes and assignments, or hold discussion sessions through forums. The existence of Industry 4.0 and post-pandemic has made the demand for implementing distance learning (PJJ) even higher.

With the existence of LMS-OASE, it is hoped that lecturers will not be surprised by these demands. This training provides provision and preparation for study programs that will take part in FIBAA accreditation later. It is important to remember that the quality of learning cannot be reduced between face-to-face and online learning, in fact, learning must be of higher quality.
