Three Topics

In the event, Prof. Darma Putra and participants discussed three main points, namely: (1)Crafting Sensible Arguments in Academic Writing For International Publications; (2) Draft Paper Review; (3) Paper review and Submission Tips”.

Darma Putra, who has published more than 20 literature and humanities articles in reputable international journals, among others, explained the importance of presenting innovative subjects/objects of study or applying new multidisciplinary approaches so that articles appear as original works.

"In writing, the ability to express thoughts clearly, logically, and flexibly is also needed so that strong interpretations and arguments are presented and easy to read," said Darma, adding that arguments are the soul of writing.

No argument, no article,” Darma said, giving an illustration that it is not an article if there is no argument in it. At that time, several examples of good essays were discussed.
